Magill Lodge is a supported accommodation site situated in the eastern suburbs of South Australia. Being within walking distance to the local shopping centre, banks, the post office, and public transport bus stop to the city, it is the perfect location for ease of travel. With single room self contained facilities, a large dining, communal and patio area, as well as wide hallways that are wheel chair and walker friendly, you would think this site was custom built for supportive accommodation.
Services are provided with the view of maximising independence around daily living skills, and building capacity.
Support provided includes:
- Medication Management - Coordination of appointments and transport - Assisting in maintaining health care and personal hygiene regimes - Meals cooked on site daily which cater to specific dietary requirements - Collaborating with external services and local council to provide social support and recreational activities - Assistance to manage personal finances, liaising with Public Trustee, budgeting and shopping - Behavioural support, crisis management and problem solving assistance
Clients are able to choose either a male or female treating GP, as both attend the site weekly. Additionally the SRF Health Assessment Team visit both regularly and on request, and are able to arrange the provision of podiatry, diabetic education, dietician and mental health services through a client care plan. The SRF Dental Program also provides a free dental service for our clients, as well as transport to and from appointments.
We work closely with the Eastern Region SRF Program and Unley council to offer a range of social activities for clients, as well as transport to attend, three times weekly. There are also a number of regular weekly programs provided, including: - Digital Hub at Prospect - Easy Moving Exercise Class - Fullarton Art Group - Crafty Chicks
Eligibility for a supported accommodation at Magill Lodge is as follows: - 18 + years of age - recipient of a Disability Pension or Aged Care Pension - Independent with transfers and mobility - Stable medical conditions, and - Behaviours suitable for a congregate care model

Any increase will not affect service provision as the funding in your plan will be indexed accordingly to allow for the increase in prices.
